It was here in Prof. Murthy's lab that the core technology that inspired the inception of BioAmp was developed.

    As a graduate student in Distinguished Professor Pradip Mascharak's lab I worked on a number of projects. The scope of the lab encompassed traditional inorganic synthesis, biomaterials science, biochemistry, and biology.My primarily focus was on the design of systems using synthetic chemistry, materials science, and engineering to bridge technological gaps in biology. More specifically, I constructing systems that mimic the dynamic process of inflammation. Additionally, I led secondary projects focused on the design of light-activated metal nitrosyls, crystal engineering, and wound dressing development. The diversity of my research allowed me to explore a wide range of instrumentation techniques including (but not limited to) mass spectrometry, electronic absorption spectroscopy, single-cyrstal crystallography, and correlation NMR.
