- The establishing of a Business Process Improvement Unit tasked to provide structure to above initiatives and also perform ad hoc process reviews for various activities, using ISO standards. - Representing the Civil Aviation Directorate at Bi-lateral meetings with EuroControl (Brussels), for the establishment of airspace and terminal charges for aviation operators.- Introducing and Managing the Non-Conformance Register allowing top management visibility on any variance to established policies, procedures and agreed corrective or preventative action plans- Managing the risk of the entity through a risk assessment exercise to ensure level of risk and mitigation in place is clearly understood throughout the organisation and risk is adequately managed- The re-engineering of the procurement function to allow the authority to take advantage of the centralised bulk buying rates and to ensure all procurement takes place within established procedures and budget parameters- Finalised the three year TM business plan and created dashboards and KPIs for monitoring performance and management of variances- Effective development of corporate governance mechanisms and overseeing the development, monitoring and evaluation of a range of corporate policies, after a thorough understanding of the diverse legacy entities’ cultures being merged and with an eye for establishing “a new way of doing things”- Leading an authority-wide task force for transforming the authority into a customer focused entity- Management of the organisation structure and recruitment plan to ensure the entity is well positioned to act as a proper regulator, never too far from operators on the ground, and equipped to attract the best and most suitable candidates to deliver its remit.- Creating revenue generating initiatives that decreased dependence of the authority on government subsidies and starting the process of moving the authority to an Activity Based Costing accounting system
