Defined and implemented an enterprise technology governance function supporting minimum standards for application life cycle and technology architecture. • Worked across CIO teams and control functions (information security, recovery, data management, vendor management, product management) to drive process improvement and consistency in the application management function and standard alignment to architecture platforms and products. • Developed the company’s first Application Management policy and standards, Technology Architecture policy and standards, and assumed responsibility for the FOSS Policy. Responsible for ongoing policy maintenance, education, and governance across the enterprise. • Implemented a control intake process that benefitted control organizations and application managers by creating a consistent process for engaging application teams and preventing unnecessary work by 10,000 hours on average per quarter. Collaborated with CISO teams to prioritize requirements which resulted in improved compliance to security programs. • As product owner of the enterprise Application Inventory, proactively migrated to an agile methodology to improve delivery of new features benefitting application managers. Releases increased from twice annual to 6 releases per year. Improved data quality resulted. • As the Data Steward Executive (DSE) for our Application inventory, significantly improved the data quality through the implementation of challenge processes. Control functions were able to rely on the data and routines developed were leveraged by other DSE’s to improve data quality.

• Designed and implemented a new control program to support compliance to an enterprise policy ensuring all applications are managed within the technology organization. • Partnered with Business Stakeholders to implement a non-threating solution that allowed us to identify a significant number of risky applications managed in the business. Process and tools were leveraged as an enterprise best practice by other CIO’s across the enterprise. • Managed a project portfolio in excess of $30MM to bring applications into compliance with policy.

• Defined and implemented an Application Governance function for a CIO contributing to the standardization of processes, education, and improved compliance of all information security, recovery, data management, architecture, and product requirements in a portfolio of 600 applications. • Developed technical education targeting application managers to instruct on risks and mitigating control procedures for bringing applications into 95% compliance across all control functions (information security, business continuity, data management, etc.) • Led an information security access management team that provided access and implemented information security controls to 600 applications and faced off to our 70,000 business clients. • Worked closely with Information Security and CISO’s to improve security policies and understanding.

• Provided Compliance and Operational Risk coverage for Technology functions supporting Consumer Products. • Provided Compliance and Operational Risk coverage for business functions supporting all consumer product channels and marketing functions.• Managed Marketing Copy compliance review functions.

• Directed team of 145 people responsible for credit card marketing fulfillment. This included management of credit card inventory, statement messages and inserts, account re-pricing activities, affinity group operations and product setup, points and rewards operations, disclosure operations, and affinity group contract administration. • Achieved 9 strong audit ratings in 2005 related to business operations.
