Grant AdministratorCity Of Indianapolis May 2017 - PresentPosition is responsible for managing daily functions of OFM Grants Division, overseeing six employees, developing and setting grants policy for City and County. Participate in the full cycle of grant awards: generating revenue through timely submission of well-researched, well-written and well-documented fundraising proposals, and accurate and efficient processing, expending, accounting, reporting, and auditing of grant funds. Position responsibilities include the following:Develops and maintains grants management training for Enterprise as well as grants management software. Serves as subject matter expert for Uniform Grant Guidance (2CFR200) and updates grants professionals on regulation changes. Provides daily department management and oversight ensuring accuracy in performance and operation effectiveness. Performs strategic departmental planning; establish and implement policies and procedures. Supervises and provides work direction for OFM Grants Division employees. Evaluates OFM Grants Division employee performance, prepare written appraisals, meet with employees to develop and convey improvement plans. Institutes corrective actions if necessary, up to and including termination. Monitors OFM Grants Division employee attendance, tracks leave requests and submits timecards to payroll. Reviews and revises work product of OFM Grants Division employees. Troubleshoot any related issues. Represents OFM Grants Division in responding to city/county grants needs and initiating appropriate response. Tracks and ensure all timelines are met in the most efficient and effective manner. Serves as primary contact with Human Resource Division in preparation of supporting documentation for posting vacant positions; review applications, conduct interviews and make hiring decisions. Coordinates special projects. Assign tasks and responsibilities accordingly. Currently, the unit directly manages over 450 million in grant funding as well as all reporting functions. -

This positions plans, organizes the grantor and human resources requirements as outlined in the annual DHS/FEMA Cooperative Agreements and develops the operating budget & program development, as well as, maintaining a readiness status of the Task Force. Position was responsible for maintaining HR records for over 200 task force members, drafting annual grant proposal, compiling, reviewing and submitting FEMA deployment claims, procurement & accounts payable, ensuring proper language was included in grant contracts, monitoring site visits and single audit, and drafting documents for fiscal ordinances as needed. During my tenure, I participated in the national USAR grant workgroup and assisted with delivering grant related training to other grant managers in system.
