After a decision in college to seek a Masters in cellular and molecular biology instead of attending veterinary graduate school, I’ve enjoyed 20+ years in the biotech space. Throughout my career I’ve sought ways to tie my responsibilities to animals, such as focusing on the agriculture market as part of my focus at Illumina. Although my career of late has drifted farther from the animals I love, it has still enabled me to gain beneficial knowledge and aid others in need. For example, at LunaPBC, I worked directly with patient advocacy groups and pharmaceutical companies to drive novel therapeutics development programs. I believe this will be invaluable as I enter the next stage of my journey.I have enjoyed many positions throughout my career in product management, strategy, business operations, and business development.
