Dr. Ash has 20 years of professional human development, capacity building, policy and research experience, including designing, managing and implementing large-scale global projects. As an experienced Project Manager, Chief of Party, and Deputy Chief of Party, she has a proven track record of developing productive partnerships across a wide network of stakeholders grounded in strong management experience and collaborative leadership skills. For more than 15 years, she has served in influential in-country technical assistance roles, working extensively with national governments and partners in Africa (Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania) and South Asia (Afghanistan, Bangladesh and India). Dr. Ash served as the Deputy Chief of Party and Senior Quality Assurance Advisor for Nutrition on the USAID-funded global Quality Assurance and Workforce Development Project (QAP III) and the Health Care Improvement Project (HCI). Dr. Ash led technical strategy, program design and quality implementation of nutrition technical assistance under USAID’s largest global nutrition project, FANTA-2 and FANTA III, working with host country governments and global partners including the World Bank, WFP, WHO, UNICEF, UNAIDS, FAO and the Global Fund. Dr. Ash has an exceptional track record of managing demanding results-driven projects combined with authoritative nutrition technical leadership.
