Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy PractitionerPennine Acute Hospitals Nhs Trust 1991 - PresentI have extensive experience working in a diagnostic clinical role in a variety of services and settings. I am currently working in two services: The Bury Integrated MSK service in which I triage, assess and manage patients referred for consultant opinion. I also work in a secondary care outpatient clinic as a member of the spinal assessment team alongside Mr James Doyle, Spinal Surgeon. I manage whole episodes of care throughout the patient pathway which includes: requesting appropriate diagnostic investigations, the interpretation of results, formulating management and discharge plans, listing patients for surgery and administering soft tissue and joint injections. Additionally I provide clinical support to the physiotherapy team within the outpatient department. I have regularly lectured to medics on the Mch Master of Surgery programme at Wrightington Hospital and contribute to the CPD programme within the physiotherapy department. I promote the adoption of healthy lifestyles to support self management plans for those with long term conditions and I am advocate of the Change4Life campaign. I have a particular interest in the development of health informatics and the use of evolving technology to improve self management models of care. I am also passionate about demonstrating and promoting the added value of physiotherapy in terms of quality, cost and productivity to both the public and commissioners alike.
