Ms. Barros- has experience as a former journalist and public relations professional. Currently, she is a victimologist and consultant and has worked on her doctoral degree in Human Services/Criminal Justice at the dissertation level. The title of her research: A Cognitive Behavioral Approach to the Reduction of Recidivism Among Non Violent Offenders in Madison County, Al. She is the founder and CEO of Project Restoration, Inc (PRI): A high risk victimization and human trafficking advocacy intervention program in the grant writing stage. The team focuses on two primary programs: juvenile delinquency and victims of human trafficking. The secondary programs fall under the high risk victimization component. Ms. Barrros has excellent networking and communication skills. She is an event planner and organizer. She also has a background in journalism, public relations and artist management. She is known for years of volunteer work in the community and is highly respected by leaders in the local community, the state and nationally. Ms Barros has received numerous awards, recognitions and certificates. She has successfully been a part of numerous community events. She has also worked closely with many social service agencies and organizations focusing on issues such as child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault just to name a few. Currently, she offers her services as a juvenile advocate to families who need help understanding the legal and court systems, families who need specific support systems and help in becoming self sufficient as well seeking help from other social service agencies.
