Deb Bartram is a Vice President at ERG with 33 years of environmental consulting experience. She is responsible for growing business and leading project teams in the area of water quality, with a specific focus on providing scientifically sound and realistic approaches for improving the nation’s waters. Over the course of her career, Deb has developed specialized expertise in the areas of point source pollution characterization, evaluation of technology-based solutions to point source discharges, and regulatory development support. Deb spends the majority of her time evaluating the effectiveness of technology options compared to their cost to implement. She has reviewed and profiled numerous industrial categories and conducted corresponding engineering and environmental assessments. Deb has more than 20 years of experience quantifying greenhouse gas emissions from manure management operations and municipal and industrial wastewater treatment operations. She is an expert in the field of estimating environmental releases associated with animal feeding operations, including animal housing, manure management, and manure application. She regularly reviews protocols for monitoring and verifying greenhouse gas emissions and emission reductions from agriculture sources. In addition, Deb is a Coordinating Lead Author for Volume 5 (Waste) of the 2019 Refinement to the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories and a Contributing Author to the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories, Chapter 10 - Emissions from Livestock and Manure Management and supported development of Subparts II and JJ for EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program.
