Responsible for assisting with the development of agency, county, and community preparedness plans and policies. Develops, implements, and evaluates community partnerships to support the public health response system Coordinates and leads, as appropriate, activities to respond to public health threats and emergencies. Provides leadership and project management for major preparedness initiatives supported by the agency and/or its partners.Assist with planning organizing and implementing training and exercise initiatives. Represents the agency on public health preparedness planning matters by serving on committees and /or taskforces and addresses both public and professional groups in matters of preparedness.Leads preparation efforts for Federal and/or State public health assessments and/or visits applicable to agency's jurisdiction, including the Medical Coutermeasures Operational Readiness Review.

Communicable Disease/Sexual Transmitted Disease Division

Investigate and coordinate follow up of all reportable STD's. Maintain database of STD case reports. Conducts STD counseling and and partner notification services. Conducts site visits to healthcare providers to ensure timely and complete disesase reporting. Assists CCDPH with the strategic planning and accreditation process. Serve as team lead on Comprehensive Sexual Health Education Committee. Organize and plan prevention programming for persons HIV/AIDS and high risk youth. Chairs regional community HIV/AIDS coalition.

Performed clinical intake and case management planning activities for the Ryan White and Department of Human Services - Office of Rehabilitation Services programs. Assessed service needs for clients with HIV/AIDS. Assisted clients in assessing servies and provide other assistance as deemed necessary. Co-facilitated an educational social suppport group for persons infected with HIV/AIDS. All duties performed with a bilingual English/Spanish client population.

HIV prevention casemanangement services provided for high risk clients. Created and facilitated behavior modification groups. Provided individual and group counseling services to high risk clients. Coordinated referrals for medical care, vocational training and other assessed needs.
