PDC is a registered provider for NDIS and adopt a collaborative and person centred approach with my clients. The two parties working together in therapy and the focus on the client with active listening, empathising, and reflecting on clients' stories.I support clients in identifying their goals and potential solutions to their issues and possibly provide strategies to support their daily lives. Talk therapy helps support clients in achieving their behavioural changing goals. I do not give advice. However, I am not a 'passive' listener but an 'active' listener.I also support adults and children with ASD, ADHD, bipolar Schizoaffective disorder and other debilitating issues, including stress, anxiety, and depression. However, there is a diversity of reasons why clients attend therapy. Maybe because they constantly feel different and suspect they might have underlain disorder or something is distressing, they need someone empathetic to listen. That someone is non-judgemental, in an environment with a space that provides silence for thought, time for reflection, and where clients can talk in peace.During the past 20 years, I have worked in Hong Kong and Singapore and am now back in Australia. My experience is that early intervention is the best practice. I specialise in person-centred therapy, positive behavioural therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, dialectical therapy, and mindfulness. Sometimes I use more of an eclectic approach to help support her clients in achieving their goals. I am passionate about my job, and it is important to me that my clients succeed in finding peace and happiness in their lives.
