Preventing accidental deaths and suicide on the waterways of Galway City through volunteer night-time patrols.

 Oversaw setting up, outfitting and staffing of new store premises and troubleshooting of all teething problems associated with opening a new store. Responsible for all aspects of daily management, staff progression and performance. Hired and trained 20+ staff to a high standard. Trained majority of team in all aspects of Stock Control, Marketing, Customer Service, Security, Compliance, Incentives. Encouraged and coached a number of staff members from both Carrick-on-Shannon and Athlone up to Management positions. Consistently achieved KPIs in Sales, Pharmacy, Mystery Shopper, Staff Satisfaction, Salary, Stock Control, Costs and Loss. Store sales average €2.8M p.a. Placed 2nd in Boots Store of the Year 2008 8 month secondment as Store Manager to Athlone. Larger store, more staff, higher turnover. Conducted a weeklong area survey in Customer Service across 9 stores from Letterkenny to Limerick and presented findings to Store and Area Managers

Oversaw all aspects of Recruitment, HR, Salary, Rotas, Customer Service, Training, Line Management, Performance Plans/Feedback and Progression.  Responsible for Health & Safety, Staff Training, Legal Compliance, Risk Assessments, and Loss Prevention/Security. Supervised floor. Store sales average €3.3M p.a. Responsible for buy-in of staff regarding Sales targets, Incentives, Presentation, Corporate Social Responsibility and the importance of Mystery Shopper/Customer Service and Training. Co-ordinated twice daily briefings to capture all staff with the important messages of the day.
