Having trained as and worked as a teacher for many years, James and I started Pebbles in 2004 as a cleaning and caretaking company specialising in holiday home changeovers in the South Hams. Since then my son, James, and I have built the company to become a respected leader in the property management industry for South West, offering a spectrum of services from housekeeping to refurbishments for holiday homes, private second homes and estates. Today, Pebbles is still very much a family business, (I am very often introduced as Co Director and Mum) but it has grown to support more than 100 members of staff. As a result, my role is very much divided into two halves: one as Executive Director making operational decisions and the other on the Operations side working with all colleagues, particularly in relation to the properties, I am still extremely hands on when it comes to client care, and have a Portfolio of Luxury Properties that I manage.

I was looking for a role that would allow me flexibility to spend time with my daughter who was doing her GCSEs at the time, and saw a gap in the market where we lived in Salcombe, a popular holiday destination, and the surrounding.
