My practice focuses on representation for the Standing Chapter 13 Trustee in the Statesville and Shelby divisions of the Western District of NC. Formerly, I practiced in the areas of Bankruptcy, Banking, Commercial Law, Creditors’ Rights, and Commercial Litigation. My experience in bankruptcy and business law includes, but is not limited to, representing secured and unsecured creditors, lenders, lessors and committees in commercial and consumer bankruptcy cases and Chapter 11 cases and preference actions, and representing banks and other lending institutions in workouts, collection, and foreclosure actions. I have served as Law Clerk to Judges in both the Western District of North Carolina and Middle District of North Carolina. I have served as Co-Managing Editor of the 2012 North Carolina Bankruptcy Practice Manual, and am serving in the same role for the 2017 Manual.
