Odyssey Showcase has been a registered charity since 2004 with an exceptionally successful track record of working with the artistic community, national institutions, school boards, corporate and government conferences/events.Odyssey Showcase is a grant fuelled, event driven charitable organization that brings together funding, and performance partners and artists from diverse communities and backgrounds for specific events. Our mandate and focus is to support and present unique, entertaining and bilingual events, featuring theatrical performance, music and the visual arts that contribute to the study of music and history in Canada, while bringing together performers and audiences from different walks of life and diverse cultures.

Since 1989, Deborah Davis has been singing professionally and creating, producing and performing historical musical presentations that are innovative, unique and entertaining. In 1998, Deborah established Canadian Musical Odyssey (CMOD) to create musical presentations that dynamically combine elements of entertainment and history.Deborah has a lengthy track record for providing the highest quality musical entertainment for community, corporate and government events and conventions, festivals, and special occasions, including performances for Prime Ministers and Governors General.Deborah has performed with her band Segue To Jazz for many charitable fundraisers and special events and her community service efforts as an entertainer and producer have been recognized by many awards. She has also successfully produced, recorded and marketed two children’s albums under the label Choonga Changa Productions.Deborah and her band Segue To Jazz headlined The Ottawa International Jazz Festival’s family day in 1994, 1995 and 1997 with her show What is This Thing Called Jazz? In 1999, with a $9,900 grant from the Government of Canada’s Millennium Foundation, Deborah created, produced and starred in A Musical Taste of Our Canadian Heritage/Notre patrimoine canadien, une odyssée musicale, in the process creating the Canadian Musical Odyssey Ensemble. CMOD is now focusing on making A Musical Taste of Our Canadian Heritage/Notre Héritage Canadien, Une Odyssée Musicale accessible to as large an audience as possible, by seeking additional corporate, government and private funding, while continuing to service major conventions and inviting proposals for related initiatives. Her vision has always been to see the production as a permanent attraction.
