Cancer
CurrentAfter staying alive with aggressive melanoma and returning from spending six months in a cancer clinic in Germany I decided to turn my life upside down and use both my organisational skills and love of a therapeutic treatment which helped me best in Germany, to study and use Bowen Therapy on myself for the last years. I was no longer drawn to the strategy world as this part of my life was not calling to me. I decided I would use my experience for those who could not afford to stay in an integrative clinic for six months in the middle of Europe and I give free advice and help to anyone drawn to my story. My real value is the deep understanding I can give to those people who have cancer issues, who are sick of finding themselves stressed, over it and wanting a way to organise their cancer management. You don’t realise till way down the track that you are the one who makes the difference with your journey. You are left to do things and order your information. This is what I did and what I believe contributed to managing my cancer. I do not purport to know all there is in this journey, this curse called cancer but I am happy to share what I have learnt so far. In the clinic I was staying at in Germany - Bowen Therapy for example, was one of the best at delivering a gentle and nurturing approach. Something different from any other treatment. Most people don’t even know what this is. Let alone that an Australian developed it. I have been on a film to help research and am in a community of people who have used and often been hurt with immunotherapy. I suffered huge levels of toxicity with this treatment. They now call me the poster girl as no one at the time had lived with such aggressive cancer at Stage 4 as I had. What does that mean? Am happy to talk to anyone who needs advice and some direction if you or any of your friends have cancer and need to organise their ideas. It is a difficult journey and to get on the right path early is such a help.
