I manage client relations and develop business relationships with a range of external customers on behalf of Support Services and other Council services within the Resources Directorate. The principal objective is to lead services into more entrepreneurial relationships with new and existing customers and to place Services on a more commercial basis.Schools form a major part of our market, but there are a range of other organisations. I am responsible for facilitating and enabling traded services to schools in relation to personnel/payroll, HR, recruitment, pensions, employee health/well being, Learning and Development and Communications & Marketing. There are other public sector partners that we work closely with and these collaborative local partnerships need to be sustained and developed.Relationship building and networking with both internal colleagues and external contacts is critical to my role and an ability to orchestrate resources on a project management basis . My role is essentially knowledge and business based across a broad range of areas – incorporating Support Service activities, facilities management and the employment focused regulatory environment within which schools operate.
