Ginninderra Press:As of 1 April 2024 I am the proud new owner of Ginninderra Press. My friend and mentor, Stephen Matthews OAM established this 'small but significant' press in 1996 to give voice to writers, new and emerging and publish books that the mainstream trade may not consider commercially viable. 28 years on, Ginninderra Press has an extensive list of poetry, novella and non-fiction prose, including many award-winning titles.Independent Publishing Consultant - The Book Maven:With over 30 years experience in the publishing industry, I am passionate about supporting independent authors and small presses in achieving their creative and commercial goals. I offer a complete package of services, from editorial and production to marketing and distribution, tailored to each client's needs and budget.Business Development:As Senior Manager, Business Development and Content Acquisition with Ingram Content Group (2014-2023), I built the Print-on-Demand and global distribution business throughout ANZ, working with multinationals, local publishers, online and physical booksellers, and industry stakeholders. Festival Director and Event Management:I am currently the Festival Director, Melbourne Jewish Book Week, and in 2023 I convened the Small Press Network's annual Independent Publishing Conference. Publishing Manager, Higher Education:Having commenced my career as a sales rep in mainstream trade publishing, I eventually moved into the academic sector in the role of Publishing Manager with various companies including Elsevier and Cambridge University Press. Qualifications:I have a Graduate Diploma of Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, and a BA in English Literature from the University of Sydney.
