I have been asked to administer VT’s CFR program as Interim Director and to provide input and support to Advancement Leadership as it determines the “new” configuration of VT CFR while launching a national search for its new director. My colleagues and I are listening to internal and external stakeholders, reviewing the “best practices” of other tier-one research and land-grant universities, and helping transition VT CFR toward higher level transactions.

Deborah Stevens Hamilton is a native of Lynchburg, VA and a graduate of the University of Georgia and Indiana University's Center on Philanthropy. Her development career spans over 35 years during which time she has served as vice president, executive director, consultant, and fund raiser in the not-for-profit, higher education, and independent school sectors. The College’s Corporate and Foundations Relations office is responsible for developing comprehensive and mutually beneficial relationships with corporate and foundation partners to provide “bottom-line” benefits to industry, plus support the priority needs of the College and its departments, centers, faculty, students, and programs.
