Setting up an ESL department in a new school. Currently with 7 ESL teachers, including immersion, withdrawal and in class support. Identifying needs of the students using CAT 4 data, NGRT tests and teacher assessment. Using my expertise in SEN to distinguish between ESL and SEN, and drawing up a programme to suit the needs of the student.

Developed the SEN department, identified learning needs and staff training needs, brought in Read Write Inc, led inset on SEN; ESL;Guided Reading, organised INSET, led parent seminars etc
