Handled all compliance related issues for the system including Medicare and Medicaid billing; Stark, false claim and anti-kickback issues; patient privacy; information security; workplace safety; and environmental practices. Conceived, implemented and managed a 13-member Compliance Department which provided compliance training, audit and remediation services for the system. Developed and updated compliance policies for a 12,000-employee workforce. Oversaw government investigations and settlement agreements.

Established, staffed and managed a compliance program for the health operations consulting department of UMass Medical School, a 2000-employee enterprise serving public and private sector clients nationwide.
