I have extensive organisational management, programme management and leadership experience in the gallery and museum industry, through initiating and leading arts, community and education initiatives for more than twenty years. My experience incorporates a track record of raising and managing significant funds for creative arts and technology programming and academic research and development. I have a deep knowledge of transdisciplinary art, science and technology based projects accrued through collaborative projects with strong connections to universities, community and industry. I hold extensive international and national networks developed through a breadth of presentations, screenings and exhibitions throughout NZ, Australia, the United States, Europe, China, Korea, Hong Kong and the Middle East.I have a PhD in transdisciplinary technoscience arts jointly supervised by University of Auckland and University of New South Wales. I hold a first class honours MA in Art History from the University of Auckland and a Graduate Certificate for Adult Teaching and Learning. My current research is on methodologies for curators and artists on technoscience arts projects as well as the development of a self-styled neurocomputational avatar.From 1996 to 2011 I was the Director of MIC Toi Rerehiko (Moving Image Centre), an organisation dedicated to the exhibition of media arts practice. I was a Founding Co-Director in the establishment of CoLab, a creative technologies research unit at AUT University. Previous positions and consultancies have been with Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, City Gallery, Wellington, Museum of Transport and Technology and Artspace. I have won awards for social and creative entrepreneurship.
