In my current role, I am responsible for the commercial management of utility contracts within the North West area of the Trusts Property and Investment Portfolio. My responsibilities include a primary focus on maximising income potential by identification and generation of new income streams ranging from new large-scale developments to smaller utility installations impacting the Trusts land, such as surface water drainage, cables, pipes, telecoms. I am also responsible for the effective and efficient negotiation of existing lease and licence reviews and renewals ensuring the Trust receives a fair and sustainable income and at best value in accordance with the Charities Act 2011. More recently, driven by the environmental demands of carbon neutrality, I have been instrumental in leading the negotiations and project management of the Trust’s first electric vehicle charging site. In addition to the above, I have over the last 12 months also managed a flood alleviation project whereby I proactively identified the requirement for canal flood modelling to help the trust understand the potential risks and opportunities alongside suitable mitigation solutions at the same time as identifying external funding to support this.
