Worked in the 9-1-1 department of this local government. This department is responsible for implementing the 9-1-1 communication system to both rural and urban areas. Our jurisdiction includes 18 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) within 10 counties. I held several responsibilities: evaluated monthly invoices to allocate among 18 PSAP’s (50/month). Maintained Internal Inventory for 9-1-1 Department, as well as all 18 PSAP’s inventory for 9-1-1 equipment; requisitioned and purchased equipment both internally and for all PSAP’s; submitted, to the executive director, detailed budgets for each county, as well as administrative, annually ($1 - $2 million of state allocated funds); contributed to the 8-year strategic Plan for implementation of communication system within budget restraints.
