Deborah has been associated with the O'Donnell Foundation since 1997 and became the AP Arts and Music Director in July 2006. For the past eight years, she has served as Director of the AP Fine Arts incentive grant, Create Schools of Excellence in the Fine Arts sponsored by the O’Donnell Foundation. The leadership role includes planning and facilitating professional development and student prep for College Board AP Fine Arts courses: AP Art History, Studio Art Drawing, Studio Art 2D Design, Studio Art 3D Design, and Music Theory. Deborah has taught Pre-AP® Art II, AP® Drawing, 2-D Design, and Art History and served for ten years as a Studio Art College Board AP® exam reader. Ms. Moore earned a Masters in Educational Leadership at Southern Methodist University in 2011 and holds a BFA from Texas Tech University in Arts Education. She has 21 years of teaching experience in three Texas school districts: Houston ISD, Wharton ISD, and Plano ISD. While teaching in Plano ISD, Deborah served in various roles of leadership: district high school art team leader, East cluster art team leader, fine arts department chair, art department team leader, facilitator for the teacher mentor program, and member of three schools' site-based improvement committees.As an active member of Texas Art Education Association and the National Art Education Association, Deborah has presented at both state and national levels. Ms. Moore was honored as the 2018 Outstanding Design Educator by the National Art Education Association, Design Interest Group.
