During that time, I have led an extensive change management programme which has involved the restructuring of an established staff team and the development of new client services to meet the changing needs of the community. Although hugely challenging at times, I have found this process to be enormously rewarding as the benefits for both the staff team and the service users are evident. I am passionate about providing high quality services for those who need them, and equally in creating and developing a great place to work for the staff team.Key Achievements: Led a significant re-structuring programme over three years, developing client services and improving the effectiveness of EDIT in delivering specific drug and alcohol interventions leading to improved outcomes for service-users and their families. Secured a new premises within 6 months of being appointed and supervised its renovation, refurbishment and transition. This consolidated EDIT services which were previously spread over 4 separate locations and has significantly reduced the annual cost of overheads making further resources available for direct costs such as staff development. Development of company logo and branding which is now visible on interior and exterior signage, and all promotional material. This has given EDIT premises a professional image and feedback from service users has indicated that they feel valued and this has helped to reduce the stigma associated with attending addiction services. Building strong connections in the community - voted onto the Board of Directors of the Northside Partnership as Community Representative in October 2017. Member of the North East Drug & Alcohol Task Force. Active member of the Get The Message Out Group within the Northside Partnership area. Show less
