Currently in role of Nursing Service Director Medical Services Group (MSG), Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. Australia.MSG is the largest group of the organisation comprising specialty and sub specialty medicine groups, a large general medicine component, a tertiary level Department of Emergency, Endoscopy and interventional services and various support services across 3 campuses.MSG employs approximately 936 full time equivalent and over 1400 head count of nursing for whom the NSD has professional accountability. As part of the leadership group, the NSD helps to manage a budget of approx. $365 million and is responsible for the development and application of the Business Planning Framework.The NSD takes accountability for professional nursing standards and promoting the nursing profession, supporting innovation and strategic planning.Recent experience with the Covid 19 pandemic has presented opportunities for me to demonstrate strengths in planning, adaptability, rapid change management, strategic planning for multiple scenarios and rapid establishment of inpatient areas as well as setting up a fever clinic at short notice. I have s strong belief in the power of a positive workplace culture and have used my experience and knowledge to develop a team that embraces our agreed values and vision. Many of our strategies have been adopted by other areas.
