Currently in my role as Environmental Specialist-Hazardous Materials Subject Matter Expert I prepare in-house and review consultant prepared Hazardous Materials Site Assessment reports for the NEPA process during infrastructure design, development and improvement. I coordinate additional investigations such as TCEQ file reviews of regulatory sites and Phase IIs and review the associated reports. I coordinate Soil & Groundwater Management Plans including reviewing and approving the final plans. I am also responsible for coordinating and tracking asbestos and lead-based paint testing and abatement for all bridges within the Dallas District (seven counties). I provide additional hazardous materials assistance as needed. Prior to TxDOT, I provided Hazardous Materials Environmental Compliance for infrastructure development for the Tollway Authority. I oversaw multiple corridors and contract teams; instructed and advised on handling discovered contamination, fuel tanks, buried debris and dump sites, etc. utilizing state and federal regulations. I also have experience in the private sector at Environmental Consulting Firms as an Environmental Project Manager. I've performed due diligence projects on commercial and industrial facilities throughout the U.S. I have experience with oversight and performance of environmental investigations and remediation projects. I have managed teams performing technical tasks and activities. In addition to environmental consulting experience, I have experience in specialized scientific research as a fossil preparator.
