Sen Teaching Assistant
CurrentAs a SEN Teaching Assistant at NOW Education in the United Kingdom since December 2023, I am dedicated to providing one-on-one support to students with learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and developmental delays. Collaborating with teachers, I help develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.In the classroom, I assist with lesson reinforcement, behavior management, and academic assessments.I actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops to continually enhance my skills in SEN education. Supporting students in various classroom settings, I use assistive technology and adaptive materials to facilitate effective learning and engagement, employing instructional techniques that accommodate different learning styles.A key part of my role involves providing personal care support, such as toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance, with empathy and respect for each student's dignity and privacy. I have developed strong interpersonal skills, enabling me to build meaningful relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.Understanding various learning disabilities, including ADHD, dyslexia, and autism spectrum disorders, I adapt my teaching strategies to meet each student's specific needs. My experience at NOW Education has reinforced my commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
