Working with the Northern Pharmacies Ltd service development team in the development and implementation of new community pharmacy services.

Research Fellow at the School of Pharmacy, Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland. My research focused on medication adherence, older patients, polypharmacy, community pharmacy, health psychology and behaviour change. I have experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including interviews, focus groups, surveys, as well as experience in developing and testing complex interventions and conducting systematic reviews. For information on peer reviewed publications see: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Deborah_Patton I was responsible for the day-to-day management of a study funded by the Dunhill Medical trust: A pilot study of the S-MAP (Solutions for Medication Adherence Problems) intervention in older adults prescribed polypharmacy in primary care (https://doi.org/10.1186/ISRCTN73831533). This collaborative project that I sought funding for and co-developed based on my PhD work involved teams working in Belfast, London and Dublin from pharmacy and psychology backgrounds. I was also involved in the design of a novel web-application to support the delivery of our pharmacy-based intervention using iPads.
