Seconded from Somerset County Council to support the launch of the Fit for my Future programme. Involved drafting a communications and engagement strategy, creating a website, drafting press releases, media liaison and a huge amount of engagement and stakeholder management. Organises over 30 events for the public across Somerset, a number of Councillor engagement events in each district, engaged with specific audiences such as adults with learning disabilities, staff, GPs and Health Groups.Drafted the post engagement report and supported its implementation since returning to my substantive post at Somerset County Council.

Promoted Business South West - the country's largest b2b event- and recruitment events all over the UK. Responsibilities included organising media contra details, implementing creative PR strategies, newsletter production, media liaison, booking adverts, creating advertorials, organising radio campaigns, booking celebrities and VIP visits, organising launch events and photo calls. Produced event publications and newspaper supplements and worked closely with The Daily Mirror, Belfast Telegraph, Manchester Evening News, Reading Chronicle, Coventry Evening Times, Leicestershire Mercury and a host of others.

Quark Expeditions promote cruises to Antarctica and the Arctic (including The North Pole). My role included producing brochures, writing promotional material, creating and writing newsletters (I titled 'Pole Position'), organising exhibition stands and sourcing and implementing promotional materials ie T-shirts and Expedition crew uniform. I was lucky enough to travel to South America and Antarctica as 'familiarisation trips' well as travel to Europe for international travel exhibitions.

As Sales & Marketing Assistant, I booked people's dream holidays, wrote promotional literature, organised exhibition stands, produced marketing plans, liaised with the public and travel agents and went on product visits to London hotels and Miami to view luxury cruise ships.
