I have been involved with Comtronics since the company's inception in 1980; creating all the trade dress and marketing collateral material. My current responsibilities include these as well as website concept and content, social media, and new product manufacturing design consulting on special projects.

As the in-house patent draftsman, I created drawings for over 2,000 patents and trademarks. Using my manufacturing/product design background, I often consulted with inventors on design and manufacturing questions relating to their inventions. I also created storyboards and litigation exhibits for trials.

Responsible for maintaining safety and procedures on a semi-automated paint line, hazardous material management and disposal for OSHA compliance, organized and maintained MSDS data base for all chemicals used in plant.

Ignitor Products was a manufacturer of propane and acetylene blow torches. The company became part of Bernzomatic in 1986. The Sure Fire torch head, a design I was initially involved in developing, is still being manufactured and is sold at Home Depot in 2013.Responsible for new product development from initial design concepts through prototypes and first production runs. Implemented cost reduction programs on all product lines. Supervised vendor selection, quoting and prototyping. Developed cost analyses and initiated feasibility studies on product improvements. Maintained UL compliances and created technical manuals for new products. Supervised staff of industrial engineers, draftsmen and tool and die makers.

Responsible for special processing and employee training for gas modification truck assembly. Prepared routings, instructional manuals, technical specifications, illustrations and product standards for assembly lines. Implemented design and cost reduction of component parts and assemblies, including cost analyses, design standards and associated documentation.

Responsible for creating detailed technical illustrations for service and user manuals. Edited foreign language manuals in a variety of European languages.

Created isometric assembly drawings for product and manufacturing engineering departments.
