In the course of my professional and academic career, I worked in various and very differnet environments that each required specific skills and qualifications. Therefore, I have developed excellent time-management, organisation and communication skills, a high proficency in a broad range of software applications (for administration, publishing, coding and research) as well as the ability to work thoroughly and focused even under pressure and on tight deadlines. I am a native German speaker, fluent in English and basic knowledge in French and Spanish and have worked in international and interdisciplinary teams. I am a trained geoarchaeologist with a special interest in human-environment interactions. Currently, I am part of the EU Horizon2020 funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN “i-CONN”, doing my PhD as Early Stage Researcher at Durham University, UK. My project focusses on Mesopotamian hollow ways using algorithmic approaches to reduce missing data and social network models to evaluate the tie formation processes of the settlement system in the Khabur Valley, Syria.Between my master's and my PhD programme, I was the editor for the Altertumskommission für Westfalen, an archaeological institution in Germany, where I was responsible for the preparation, proofreading, typesetting and publishing of the institution's publications. I was entrusted to guide the authors through the whole process, from initial discussion of the topic to the final publication.During my PhD studies, I fostered my passion for editing further and enhanced my skills by volunteering as the Associate Editor for the Council of British Archaeology (Yorkshire) and as a member of the Editorial Board of Computational and Quantitative Applications in Archaeology (CAA). Before starting my academic career, I finished an apprenticeship in retail and held management positions for Tedi GmbH & Co. KG and H&M. Alongside and after my MSc programme, I worked in administration, mainly for small companies, where I was responsible for HR, accounting, customer service and general assistance to management.
