My practice focuses on obtaining land-use and resource permits and entitlements for development, including compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). I also defend those entitlements in litigation at both trial and appeal courts, as well as representing clients in complex civil appeals of all types and trial court litigation in anticipation of possible appeals.My appellate work, including defenses of both pretrial and posttrial decisions, includes interlocutory review of summary judgments and motions denying arbitration. I work with clients across a range of industries: homebuilding, retail, hospitality, banking, energy, manufacturing, and insurance.
