I am currently: • Consulting for the Agency of Jewish Learning in Pittsburgh. My work involves on-going dialogue with directors and educators from the JCC, Temple Ohav Shalom, and the Community Day School. Each school is working to integrate a Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education with a Jewish lens for living and learning. • Teaching at the graduate school of education at Champlain College. This spring and summer I will be teaching Math and Science for Young Children and Infants and Toddlers respectfully.• Blogging for my new webpage: growing-wonder.

My dissertation is titled: Early childhood educators' perceptions of spiritual development: A social constructivist grounded theory.

I previously worked as director/teacher at a lovely cooperative early childhood program. I have had the opportunity to put in place a spiritual beginning of welcoming, listening, and caring. I was able to create and then observe children's actions in what I have now defined as spiritual moments. These moments provide time and environment that nurture children's spiritual development. From this I could begin to create in the children values of gratitude and responsibility as we got to know each other better and as we worked together to create this beautiful learning environment. I also discovered that working in a cooperative offers many pros and cons for early learning.
