I am an environmental law partner at Paul Hastings. Recognized as one of the leading environmental law practitioners in California, I am ranked in Band 1 in Chambers USA for California Environmental Law. I recently served as the Co-Chair of the Firm’s Global Environment and Energy practice. My environmental law career began at the U.S. Justice Department’s Environmental Enforcement Section, where I prosecuted civil and criminal enforcement matters under a range of federal environmental laws. In private practice, my specialty areas include: Defense of government enforcement actions and citizen suits, representing corporate clients in complex multi-party remediation driven by federal or state agencies or private parties and related dispute resolution proceedings, and providing strategic counsel on hazardous materials and water quality matters (including permitting, project development, facility closures, and corporate acquisitions).
