I have had the privilege of working in education for 28 years undertaking a variety of teaching and leadership roles. I believe that having clear accountability helps to drive school improvement and shape practice. I would ensure that I quickly understood the requirements and compliance regulations of any authority the school operated under. I am always aware that high-quality learning is the core of any school, and it requires all stakeholders to be informed and on-board with the school’s direction. I always put time, thought, patience, and clarity into this, with a particular emphasis on the ‘Why’ in any new initiative or drive I am leading. In 2016, 17 students sat their IGCSE Math exam in the November entry of Year 10 (Grade 9) and all 17 gained an A or A* grade, and went on to successfully pass the IGCSE Statistics in the summer entry of 2017.
