I have a broad range of social work experience locally in Kitchener, elsewhere in Ontario, out of province and internationally. I am currently employed at Camino Wellbeing + Mental health as a clinical counsellor. Previous to my current position, I gained valuable experience in crisis line support, intake, assessment, advocacy, counselling, emotional support and community referrals as a worker in three different shelters, and a volunteer with victim services. I have experience providing program coordination and services for families living in a low-income, multiracial and multiethnic communities. I have worked with clients in the mental health field in settings including psychiatric hospital, group home and health centre. While raising my daughter in Ottawa, I worked as a photographer, administrator, webmaster, and graphic designer.
