As an administrative assistant in the University's temporary employment services, I was assigned to several departments over the course of one year. Those departments included Human Resources, the University press and the Department of Economics where I performed general clerical duties including data entry, scanning, answering phones and taking messages.

My responsibilities included teaching library classes related to literature and information literacy. I assisted faculty and students with research projects. I am passionate about promoting reading and ensuring that children develop a love of learning and especially a love for reading. In additional, I taught in the academic support program where I met with small groups and also taught Middle School elective courses and worked in the after school program.

As an Interlibrary Loan Librarian, I coordinated staff, workloads, schedules and student assistant. The function of this department required frequent interaction with faculty and students and to process their requests for materials held at other libraries via OCLC for nd also process requests for materials requested from other libraries. This required effective use of a variety of electronic and manual systems to manage and track the ILL borrowing and lending process including tracking articles received in order to ensure copyright compliance. My skills related to this position included organizational and time management, communication skills, computer skills (OCLC and Microsoft office), office management and supervisory skills and knowledge of the research process.
