    Well it seems I've been sort of "demoted"! After Mick having 5 months off for his broken leg, we had to make some tough decisions about how we took the business forward. We therefore made a decision that from the end of March, the limited company (for which my status was Director!) would cease trading. However, the business goes on...and boy is it going on...we can't believe how busy we are all of a sudden. We are still diamond drilling to the trades, but now we are doing it with Mick as a Sole Trader (and me now Office Manger!). Please be assured, we can still meet the requirements of all job sizes, as we have lined up a great set of skilled, qualified sub-contractors to use when needed.

    Circle is the prime contractor in this commissioned model of healthcare in Bedfordshire. From April 2015 they took direct operational control over from Horizon Health and all staff were transferred via TUPE to Circle. Circle very kindly offered me the opportunity to reduce my working days/hours which was something I had always planned on doing. I worked with the management team to develop my new role which involves managing and responding to complaints (which thankfully there are very few of!), producing and managing exception reporting, and collating information on patient feedback. I also still help the team out now and then if needed.

I also have experience of working directly with patients in the form of support planning through my work on Personal Health Budgets. I have contacts within both the local authorities (Bedfordshire) and third sector providers, all of whom are key in putting together any comprehensive service that should be focussed around the health and wellbeing of the patient in the first instance.
