I made a bold move in March 2020 to bolster my trusts & estates litigation practice by joining Dentons Cohen & Grigsby, where they have the tax and estate planning experience to advise on those issues, which inevitably come up in this type of litigation. I had practiced with a number of these lawyers at my former firm, and now we are all under one roof again!I have practiced general commercial litigation in excess of 30 years. For the past decade I have focused on trusts, estates and fiduciaries litigation. I am co-located in Dentons Pittsburgh and Naples offices (licensed in both jurisdictions).Recent successful trials and appeals have included those on behalf of:• A trust company accused of conflicts of interest and self-dealing in connection with private equity investments for a revocable trust• A corporate trustee of a charitable trust in a dispute with individual co-trustees concerning grantor intent and grant-making• Trial on behalf of individual trustees in a removal and surcharge action involving the administration of an intended grantor trust for a foreign individualDuring the early years of my legal career, I concentrated on insurance coverage actions in the environmental context and products liability litigation in the medical device, pharmaceutical and automotive industries.Whatever the subject matter of the case, I can quickly get my arms around it, conduct effective cross examinations at depositions or trial, handle expert witnesses and persuade courts at all levels.
