I have been working for the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority since 2008. My current role is a Manager in the multifamily lending area. I have run the 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Round since November 2016. Activities include holding pre-application meetings with potential applicants, facilitating an overview session, managing the review and scoring process, keeping senior management informed as the round progresses, drafting the recommendation package for the Board of Directors, and holding debriefing meetings with applicants who are not awarded. I supervise a small group of direct reports. Other duties include underwriting tax-exempt bond loans paired with 4% LIHTCs from receipt of an application through cost certification, assisting potential applicants, serving on task forces for process improvements, and training/mentoring new staff. Prior experience includes 15 years as a residential mortgage underwriting with a lending authority of $1 Million and experience with conventional, FHA, and VA first mortgages, state bond loan programs, and second mortgages. I was a FHA Direct Endorsed and VA LAPP underwriter.
