Current• Responsible for leading on-going and cross-functional teams for the planning, implementation, operation and support of IT systems and projects. • Develop long-term goals, implementation plans, annual budget and schedules.• Develop, implement and enforce information systems policies, standards, procedures, and all IT related documentation.• Maintains applications, systems, and processes to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, data accuracy, archival standards, system recovery and security.• Keeps informed of new developments in hardware, software and other technological advances. Research new technologies and prepare comprehensive plans including hardware, software, consulting and staffing requirements to support initiatives.• Analyze complex business needs presented by the users and recommend technical solutions. Collaborate extensively with Department Directors and other staff to identify, prioritize and recommend technology needs of the District and individual departments. Implement and apply District-wide technology to improve business processes.• Maintain LAN and WAN infrastructure. Ensure optimum configuration, speed and utilization of network resources.• Establish and maintain an efficient and responsive help desk system that meets the needs of District users and provide issue tracking and accountability.• Oversees Geographic Information System equipment, software and training. • Ensure ability to share GIS data across District sites in effectively and efficiently. • Oversee the telecommunication systems.• Implement, manage and monitor District-wide document management program.• Oversee the design, development and maintenance of the internal Web site, and provide technical support for the District’s public Web site and online enterprise applications.• Direct and review work of outside consultants involved in IT projects.• Supervises purchase of all network, systems, and telecommunications equipment.
