When I was 22 years old I was given a forced vacation. It wasn't a vacation, it was a suspension. The Administrator asked me to work on my behavior and attitude if I wanted to stay with the company.Surprised and hurt, I went on vacation and understood 3 fundamental things:💡 That my time is limited and I needed to learn to set priorities and ask for help. 💡 That the company I was in needed to define my role and expectations. 💡 That both parties needed to do their part to improve our communication. And in work and in life, there are always 2 points of view and nothing is black or white.Because I experienced the loneliness and confusion that many employees who work in small and medium-sized companies in Puerto Rico feel, I decided to create DMC Consulting.🔥To help companies stop putting out fires and be better places to work. 💪To help employees understand their roles and achieve what is expected of them. The thing is..we spend a third of our lives at work and that third impacts the other two impressively. If you're an employee or CEO, you know what I'm talking about! That is why today I transform human teams of small and medium businesses to create healthy, happy, and effective workplaces. I look for companies to achieve the balance between focusing on results and focusing on people. I don't think they are mutually exclusive. My philosophy is based on the fact that people are the ones who achieve results so their development, health, and connection with the company must be encouraged. How do I do it? 🤝I work hand in hand with the CEO through 1-1 mentoring, promoting self-knowledge and accountability so they can focus on what they can best do for theri company. 🤝I maximize the potential of executive teams through high-impact training. 🤝I facilitate business alignment and growth by managing organizational culture and strategic planning. 🤝I create personalized initiatives for employee retentionA little more about me:🧘♀️I am a certified yoga instructor.🐱I have a cat named Mauro who interrupts some of my virtual meetings. 📚I love teaching, since I was 15 I have been teaching something...before it was swimming, at one point it was yoga, and now it is leadership. 🤓 I am a learner. I'm always in the middle of learning something new!Connect with me here on LinkedIn or email me dcollazo@dmcconsultingpr.com. DM me if you resonate with any part of my story or want to know more about what I do!

Beyond that, it is a collective of open-minded and authentic professionals who seek to make industrial-organizational psychology a pillar of each company, just like accounting and marketing. At SEBOC, I have collaborated in career development efforts for those starting out in this discipline and I participate in the weekly podcast "Work Cookie", where we discuss what really helps create happy, effective, and healthy workplaces. Additionally, I have worked alongside colleagues to design leadership programs aimed at helping supervisors and emerging leaders grow in their roles. Show less -

In addition to teaching private and group classes every week, I organized wellness events for groups and companies ranging from 10 to 40 people. In this process, I learned:-That starting, sustaining, and growing a business is an incredibly challenging but very rewarding task.-That I enjoyed working on the business more than providing the service itself (this is when I realized my love for business was “behind the scenes”). Managing, structuring, planning, and so on.-That working in a small business—with limited resources, limited time, and little structure—can be detrimental to the physical and mental health of its employees and leaders. This is where my passion for helping growing SMEs was born.-Not all of your passions need to generate income. I am passionate about yoga and practice it every day—but I don’t want to make it my primary source of income. I closed #TuyaYoga with my heart ready for something new.You can still find me on my mat every morning at 7 a.m.🧘♀️🧘♀️🧘♀️ Show less
