Successfully controlled the firm’s audit of the initial accounting period & the year thereafter receiving commendations from the audit firm. Established management information systems to provide the Board with reports on individual sales personnel targets & performance. Instigated & managed multiple banking relationships. Developed budgetary / forecasting information & responsible for submission of frequent financial regulatory returns to the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). Handled wide ranging interaction with the DFSA providing them with comfort & confidence in the role performed & all deadlines successfully met. Relied on to perform other management team functions during staff absences & provided quality control reviews outside of the financial aspects of the firm.

Responsible for all financial function in Dubai, ensuring that the Chairman in London was kept fully appraised of financial matters. Provided management information and budgetary forecasts. Eliminated significant outstanding debts inherited and established an accelerated cash flow position by ensuring invoice dispatch was improved and credit control tightened. Securing these debts from Clients, together with instigating stricter terms with them, was achieved with no detriment to the ongoing relationships with those clients.

Responsible for all operational aspects of running 2 offices at different locations in Dubai, one in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and one in Deira. Performed the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) Licensed Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer roles for the DIFC office as a DFSA Authorised Individual. Provided an effective Human Resources service, expanding the workforce from 10 to 21 people in line with the growth plan of the Companies. Conducted a rationalization of all employee contracts and subsequent roll out in line with applicable UAE / DIFC Labour Laws, Managed the fit out of the new DIFC Office, ensuring the location was fully operational.
