I like solving complicated problems. I have a CAREER THEME OF COMPLEX SYSTEM INTEGRATION AND TROUBLESHOOTING. I enjoy evaluating the interconnected impacts of failures or design changes on various parts of a system. I find it helpful to communicate complex concepts using everyday visual analogies. With more than 10 years' experience managing requirements for Failure Detection, Isolation and Recovery (FDIR) for the International Space Station (ISS), I have handled requirement allocation and negotiation, verification planning, including avionics test planning and system verification roll-up, hardware/software integration, and hazard assessment and verification. I SUCCESSFULLY TRANSFERRED REQUIREMENT MANAGEMENT SKILLS FROM FDIR TO THE RENDEZVOUS, PROXIMITY OPERATIONS AND CAPTURE (RPOC) AREA OF EXPERTISE. Applying requirement management skills to Visiting Vehicle spacecraft rendezvous with the ISS has provided more than 5 years' additional experience with Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) systems, integrated impacts of other subsystems on GN&C, including Robotics, and Communication systems. Working with the ISS International Partners (IPs), including the Japanese space agency (JAXA), European Space Agency (ESA), Canadian Space Agency (CSA), and Russian Space Agency (RSA), has provided interesting technical and cultural challenges.Specialties: Troubleshooting, FDIR, effectively communicating complex concepts, complex system integration, requirement management, and system verification.
Listed skills include Spacecraft, Requirements Management, Systems Engineering, Space Systems, and 32 others.
