I joined Ofgem in May 2018 as a Policy Manager within the Metering and Market Operations team. My main areas of work centre around:- Smart Meter Installation Code of Practice (SMICoP) compliance and governance- Industry code modifications (including the Smart Energy Code)- BAU monitoring of half-hourly settlement and tariffs- Smart meter rollout monitoring- Non-domestic advanced metering rollout monitoring (including P272 and AMR)- Oversight of external team communications

I headed up the Meter Exchange department, responsible for day-to-day operations involved in the upgrading of metering systems and the installation of automated meter readers (AMRs) for end consumers in the Industrial and Commercial sector.Working to industry SLAs, company KPIs and client-led targets, the department was responsible for seeing through the installations from start to finish, liaising with some of the biggest gas suppliers in the country to enable their I&C customers to join the increasing number of businesses in the UK now benefiting from smart technology.I moved into this role after a number of years as a Team Leader within the same department, and during my time in the company saw the team grow almost ten-fold. My general responsibilities included; developing and maintaining lasting business relationships, performance analysis and improvement, ensuring activities are carried out according to MAMCoP, company and client processes, high-level business and client reporting and ensuring day-to-day operations are carried out as such to maximise company and client productivity and achievement.
