I oversee corporate communications, investor relations and ESG for global biotech companies with varying drug development, regulatory, financing, business development, M&A, corporate governance and corporate responsibility priorities. We closely partner with executive leadership and deploy a full range of cross-channel communications/IR strategies and tactics for internal and external audiences, including employees, investors, community partners, BD targets, patients and journalists. I am on the Senior Leadership Team and advance new business, hiring and training initiatives.

For pharmaceutical and biotech companies, my counsel spanned corporate communications, internal communications, digital strategy, media strategy, events, planning, materials development and thought leadership. I supported an FDA approval, product launch and other milestones, and shaped COVID-19 and DEI comms strategies. I managed and mentored team members.

I led editorial, content marketing, messaging and analytics strategies for neuronline.sfn.org to reach 37,000 global members and the broader neuroscience field. Over 4.5 years, I oversaw 1000+ videos, articles, interviews, webinars and virtual conferences sourced through nine teams, nine volunteer committees, freelancers and hundreds of contributors. I led a department of four, served on the management team and liaised with the online programs board. Special projects: SfN’s 50th anniversary, website redesigns, podcasting, marketing/digital content working groups.

I led media relations and secured placements in top-tier national and international outlets, such as The New York Times, Washington Post, Deutsche Welle, Wall Street Journal Asia and The Guardian. I also created communications plans for local and international events, blogged, wrote and edited communications materials and managed our PR agency. I conducted extensive stakeholder communications and thought leadership, working closely with the CEO, COO, president and directors. Highlights include traveling to India and Nigeria to manage media relations at conferences, supporting my team’s panel at the Social Good Summit and collaborating with international pharmaceutical companies, nonprofits and universities.

I guided trade association, nonprofit, and for-profit clients through crises by monitoring news and social media, recommending response strategies and executing plans. I was the day-to-day account manager of a trade association client. As the pro-bono account lead, I redesigned and updated a blog and managed Twitter and Facebook to reach followers, reporters and policymakers.

In my first year at CounterPoint, a crisis communications and reputation management agency, I wrote, edited and/or pitched blog posts, press releases, media alerts, op-eds, social media posts and letters to the editor.
