I first met the Myko team at the McGill Dobson Cup in 2015 when I was a judge for the social entrepreneurship stream. Since then I've acted as a facilitator, strategic advisor, advocate and sounding board, helping the team bring the Myko vision to life.

I led the successful transformation of the global internal communications function from tactics-focused to business strategy aligned. Together our revitalized team humanized corporate communication. By consciously developing a very strong working relationship with Operations and Engineering at HQ and in the field we were able to ensure that our communications approaches supported the business needs directly. As a member of both the Communication and Human Resources Committees I was able to provide a new and important bridge between these two functions. The result: Consistent, strategically aligned and engaging communication during two major periods of change: the launch and implementation of the new brand experience, 911 crisis communications and through the aftermath. I was invited, with about 35 high potential employees from the Aerospace, Transportation, and Recreation businesses around the world, to participate in the Bombardier International Management Seminar [co-led with Harvard Business School]. Over these two-days we not only built cross-business connections, but had the opportunity to learn and test new ideas around business strategy and negotiation.

I led the transformation of the internal communications function to better support the global business and designed an approach to for working through formal and informal networks around the world. The result: More consistent, timely and effective two-way communication, cross-business learning, and more of a 'one team' approach.I was also an active participant on a CEO sponsored business strategy working group that brought together experts in from the business to explore and recommend new approaches to the market that would differentiate Alcan's offering.

Jointly reporting to the VP Strategy and VP Human Resources, I was responsible for business research and planning on the one hand and human resource planning and internal communication on the other
