I currently work in People Services as a specialist risk, security and safety adviser for educational premises and corporate property . I provide a single point of contact for schools, Children’s Services Departments and Salford Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership in relation to school security, risk and crime issues. The job involves tailoring security information and advice, tackling crime issues, improving personal safety and minimising anti-social behaviour.With a background in policing, qualifications in CPTED, Security Management (MSyI) and Teaching (PGCE), I am well equipped to help clients assess their security needs and can advise not only on safety measures for existing premises, but work alongside building professionals to design new buildings and educational facilities to produce safe and secure learning environments fit for the 21st Century.I also make recommendations and deliver advice on personal safety, online abuse, and digital safety awareness protecting Head Teachers, school staff and pupils. Using all the legal tools available to prevent and reduce incidents of verbal and physical abuse, harassment, anti-social behaviour, challenging behaviour by parents, and online abuse, bullying and harassment via social media.Specialties: Schools and Educational Facilities.
